December 14th is an exciting day for TAG Heuer, the Race of Champions will be at Wembley, for the second time, and TAG Heuer will be in the middle of it all.
Since 2004 TAG Heuer has been the official timekeeper and official partner of the Race of Champions. This year, TAG Heuer is extremely excited because one of their own brand ambassadors, Sebastian Vettel, will be in the lineup of drivers competing. Sebastian Vettel is German’s younger winner of the F1 Grand Prix and is a TAG Heuer Brand Ambassador.
The Race of Champions Cup is a competition for the world’s best circuit and off road drivers where 2 Cups are up for grabs. One cup is The Nations’ Cup designed for a race of 8 different nations competing in a knock out elimination competition.
Even more exciting (above) is that before the Race of Nation Cup event Lewis Hamilton in a Mercedes road car will duel it out with Chris Hoy on his bike…. all timed by TAG Heuer.
Last week TAG Heuer opened a new boutique in Budapest on 2. Andrassy Street in the heart of Europe. The TAG Heuer boutique is the first in Europe and will provide consumers with an entire collection of all TAG Heuer products including eye wear, accessories, and watches.
Honorary Chairman Mr. Jack W. Heuer was there to celebrate the opening with 50 VIP guest. Mr. Heuer was excited to open the new TAG Heuer boutique in what he and many others call the “Paris of the East”.
Kimi Raikkonen, who won the Formula One World Championship last year, has designed the Speedway glasses for TAG Heuer:
“I love sunglasses, so when TAG Heuer suggested I could get involved in their Avant-Garde Eyewear collection I showed immediate interest. We soon started to develop a specific eyewear series inspired by motor racing and my passion for speed. Design is very important and I’m always looking for something different so I’m really delighted to work with TAG Heuer Eyewear and develop products that not only I would like to wear but I am sure my supporters will too.”
So what can we expect with the glasses?
lightweight frame made of alloy
large hollow temples for light feel
end tips made of elastomere
Kimi logo on right temple
And what about the lenses?
polarized layers to reduce glare
oleophobic coating to ward off grease, dust, or fingerprints
unbreakable polycarbonate material
You can purchase two versions of Kimi’s new TAG Heuer Speedway Sunglasses including a Men’s pair made with a black ceramic and aluminum temples or a female pair made with a gradient blue frame and aluminum temples
