Leonardo DiCaprio in the TAG Heuer Spotlight

Get ready to see Leonardo DiCaprio and TAG Heuer splashed in every magazine you open. Their new ad campaigns are set to hit magazine pages soon and here are a few of the first shots of DiCaprio and TAG Heuer luxury watches.

In our recent post we broke the news that DiCaprio would be replacing Brad Pitt as TAG Heuer ambassador but as always, DiCaprio thinks of the environment  first. The royalties from this ambassadorship will be going to the Natural Resources Defense Council and the Green Cross International.

Besides the ad campaigns Baselworld 2009 released the above TAG Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 36 RS@ Caliper Chronograph Ti2 (definitely a mouth full).

This new TAG Heuer luxury watch is seen above on Leonardo DiCaprio and has a 43mmm 2 Titanium case, polished bezel, oversized crown, caliper rotating scale, black rubber bracelet with titanium folding clasp, and 100 meters of water resistance. This new TAG Heuer luxury watch will be available in September 2009.

TAG Heuer Link Calibre 5

We love this watch! It add a very traditional spin to a masculine TAG Heuer watch. The TAG Heuer Link Calibre 5 Men’s Watch has some features that cannot be denied.

The first is the amazing day window at the 12 o’clock marker that fully spells out and displays the day of the week. Underneath the day window is a TAG Heuer luxury watch Link logo right above the watch hands. Lastly, a date window sits right above the 6 o’clock marker.

A little history also says a lot about this watch. The TAG Heuer Link was created in 1987 and re-launched in 1999 and was a favorite of Ayrton Senna (above) in 1990. Ayrton Senna da Silva was a Brazilian race car driver and Formula One champion who was killed while leading the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.

Other attributes of this TAG Heuer luxury watch include a stainless steel and 18k yellow gold case, transparent case back, screw down crown, polished stainless steel bezel, silver dial, gold tone luminous hand indicators and markers, scratch resistant sapphire crystal, two-tone brushed bracelet, automatic movement and 660 feet of water resistance.

India SJOBA TAG Heuer Treasure Hunt

The St Johns Old Boys Association (SJOBA) had a SJOBA TAG Heuer Treasure Hunt for their annual reunion this year.  The turnout was great with 240 participants and 60 teams joining together for fun and games.

The game was unique as each team headed by a Johnian or spouse drove around the city looking for answers to clues in some amazing cars including Mercedes, Lamborghinis and a Maruti 800.  The event lasted about three hours and ended with a brunch.  According to chitranjan Agarwal, President of SJOBA:

To ensure overall safety, we changed the format this year so that participants would not have to race from one place to another…

Before the race started Mac Sarin, the Founder President recited a Oath of Sportsmanship and Honesty.  Sahil Sood and his team actually ended up winning the hunt… Congratulations!

TAG Heuer Conquers Europe

Last week TAG Heuer opened a new boutique in Budapest on 2. Andrassy Street in the heart of Europe.  The TAG Heuer boutique is the first in Europe and will provide consumers with an entire collection of all TAG Heuer products including eye wear, accessories, and watches.

Honorary Chairman Mr. Jack W. Heuer was there to celebrate the opening with 50 VIP guest.  Mr. Heuer was excited to open the new TAG Heuer boutique in what he and many others call the “Paris of the East”.
