The TAG Heuer Carrera Automatic Chronograph Day-Date is another version of the popular TAG Heuer Carrera.  The TAG Heuer Carrera is a watch that TAG Heuer rivals have tried to compete with since it came on the scene as the ultimate stop watch. The TAG Heuer Carrera comes in two luxury sports watch versions for men, The TAG Heuer Carrerra Automatic Chronograph Tachymetre, which we discussed in the past and The TAG Heuer Automatic Chronograph Day-date, which we will review today.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Automatic Chronograph Day-Date gets its name from its  TAG Heuer Calibre 1 automatic chronograph movement and it’s scratch resistant sapphire crystal Day-Date glace.  This TAG Heuer watch comes with a polished steel case with a tachymeter scale on its black aluminum bezel and black dial design.  Other options include a brown aluminum bezel and brown dial or a polished steel bezel and silver dial.  However, no matter what material or color combination chosen, anti-reflective sapphire crystal graces both sides of this luxury watch.

Measuring at 43 mm, the case of the TAG Heuer Carrera Automatic Chronograph Day-Date watch is also scratch resistant.  The dial, black, silver or brown, has three unique timing features moving at once.  At 6 o’clock an hour chronograph ticks away while the seconds chronograph moves at the 9 o’clock marker and the minute chronograph sits at the 12 o’clock marker.  Each of the hour numerals are hand applied luminescent Arabic matching the hour and minute hands for improved legibility in the dark.  A large date window also sits a t 3 o’clock marker.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Automatic Chronograph Day-Date watch is resistant to water for up to 100 meters and has a stunning bracelet made with 5 row alternate fine brushed and polished steel.  Other options include a black or brown alligator strap.

The TAG Heuer Monaco Automatic watch and the TAG Heuer Monaco Sixty Nine watch may look the same to an untrained eye but they are quite different.  In the past we have talked about the TAG Heuer Monaco Sixty Nine, today we are going to get a closer look at the TAG Heuer Monaco Automatic watch.

First, let’s take a look at the TAG Heuer Monaco Automatic watch dial which comes in blue, black (above), and mother-of-pearl.  The hour, minute and second hands are not only polished but are also nickel plated for the black dial and for the blue dial the second hand is red.  The dial is surrounded by a square steel case with differentiating finishes from fine-brushed to polished.  Finishing off the dial on this TAG Heuer watch is the MONACO name and the TAG Heuer logo which appear at 12 o’clock and in white lacquer for the white and blue dial and black for the mother-of-pearl dial.

The case of the TAG Heuer Monaco Automatic watch features a screw in case back with sapphire crystal on both sides. The crown comes with a fluting technology to make adjustments on the TAG Heuer watch easy and ensure 50 meters of water resistance.

Finishing off the look of the watch is numerous choices of straps depending on the model chosen. These include a black or blue alligator strap or a black rubber strap with a folding buckle.
